Mansur Uçaktürk, A Successful 5^th Grader from the Arslanbey ATA-SC Ilk Ogretim Okulu in Izmit, Turkiye Receives Top Score out of 25,000 students

As many of you know, ATASC has built an elementary school in the earthquake-stricken region in Izmit.  This school opened early this fall providing education for 119 students from first through fifth grades.  ATASC is proud to inform the Turkish-American community in Southern California of one success story from the newly built Arslanbey ATA-SC Ilkokulu.

We are happy to introduce a young successful fifth grader named Mansur Uçaktürk who recently ranked 66th at a placement test given to 25,000 students in the Kocaeli Province of Turkey.

Mansur would like to become an "inventor" when he grows up.  We wish our young friend continued success in his educational endeavors.  We also congratulate his mother Tulay Uçaktürk, his father Ahmet Uçaktürk, and his teacher Halil Ibrahim Bey for raising such a fine young student.

We intend to keep you informed of other success stories like Mansur from our new Arslanbey ATA-SC Ilkogretim Okulu.  Though it is a very young school in Izmit, the Arslanbey ATA-SC Ilk Okulu has demonstrated its ability to produce successful students who will contribute to the future of Turkey and to the international community.  With our community’s continued support, we will help pave the way for more successful students.
