Dear Members,

As we near the end of the year, I am so proud of LATAA’s accomplishments!  We have been able to raise in donation and fees in excess of $10,855.00.

We are going to have our 3rd annual election in accordance with our bylaws on December 8th.  Please mark your calendars. Leslie Bates, Nihan Bol and Phillip Westernoff have one more year.  There are eight open positions on the Board of Directors as a result of two-year term completion of the following members: Ayse Goren, Aclan Bates Buyukturkoglu and Funda Dundar; and as a result of one-year term completion of the following members: Seda Aksut, Sema Basol, Selcen Duygun, Volkan Duygun and Yusuf Kenan Yagmur.  If you would like to become a board member, please send in a short write up telling us about yourself to leslie@unicvisions.com by November 30th.

The Los Angeles Turkish American Association (LATAA) is a chapter organization of ATASC, the Association of Turkish Americans of Southern California.  If you reside within the boundaries of Southern California, you are welcome to become a member of LATAA.  If you are not already a member, we invite you to take the challenge to become a part of our Charity Organization and give service to our community here and abroad.  This is an excellent time of the when you can do something very special by making a commitment and giving your time, self and support to our designated charities.

With your paid membership, you will be entitled to all benefits offered by both the LATAA and ATASC.  You would not need to pay two sets of dues for both ATASC and LATAA.  By offering a more localized presence, ATASC intends to make it more convenient for our members to participate in events. LATAA's ability to fulfill its mission of service to the Turkish-American community depends on you.  Please send in your 2006-2007 annual membership dues.

Student $25.00,  Individual $50.00,  Family $75.00.

Our mission is an even more successful 2007! .

Kindly,

Ayse Goren, LATAA President
