WARNING: Please note that there is 1000 feet (300 m) elevation gain and we do NOT use a sweeper hiker at our hikes; therefore, please have some medium hiking experience .

ADDRESS: Griffith Park, 2700 North Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles. Trail head is a little north of the Greek Theater, next to Bird sanctuary, across the street.

Distance: 5.0 mile (8 km) loop.
Elevation gain: 1000 ft (305 m).
Hiking time: appr. 3 hours.
Difficulty: The loop starts at Greek Theater where we also end the hike. Some parts are very steep (moderate to difficult).

DIRECTIONS: Drive north on Vermont Avenue through Los Feliz and into Griffith Park. Once inside the park, pass the Greek Theater on your left and park on the street on right. The trailhead will be on the east side of Vermont, as soon as you pass Greek Theater. Look for Bird Sanctuary sign.

PARKING: Parking is available at the GREEK THEATER but usually crowded. Side streets might have parking. CARPOOLING suggested. Please observe traffic/parking signs.

ATTIRE: Please wear comfortable walking/hiking shoes and bring plenty of water, sunscreen, insect repellent and a hat. A good jacket. Flashlight.
