ATASC and all of 5 ATASC chapters came together in Long Beach on April 14, 2013 to have a large Children’s Day festival. It was very well attended in spite of the cold & slightly wet weather. The Honorable Consul General Aydin Topcu opened the ceremony followed by ATASC President Hafize Turgut thanking the picnic committee, ATASC Board and all the festival volunteers. The day was enriched by Ilhan Sami Ozulu’s music, Kutsal Kocer, Twenty7 group. The Turkish American children, our next generation also performed national songs at the podium to the pride and joy of the attendees. The event pictures can be found at

ATASC Orange County Chapter Turkish School OCTS organized additional festivities for Orange County parents on April 20th. The event again showcased the learnings of young Turkish Americans in Turkish history and culture. The details of the event can be found at OCTS facebook page.
